Bar à Part, the wine bar from the team behind West Village French bistro Zimmi’s, has been in the works for well over a year. Now it has an official opening date, and it’s coming up quickly.
Bar à Part will officially open on Monday, Sept. 28 at 4 p.m. It’s located directly next door to Zimmi’s, which is at 72 Bedford Street.

Zimmi’s is run by chef Maxime Pradié and his partners, Jenni Guizio and Cory Holt, according to Forbes. The outlet reported in November 2025 that the 15-seat bar would start out serving small bites, pastries, coffee and wine, with events, demos, tastings and dinners possibly to follow.
The Infatuation, which included Bar à Part on its list of NYC’s most anticipated restaurant openings of 2026, described the plan as a small cafe with small plates, a deep wine program, and both sweet and savory pastries and desserts.
Plans for the bar were first reported by Eater in January 2025, when Pradié confirmed a 15-seat wine bar was coming to the space next to the restaurant. At the time, it was slated to open that spring as a nighttime-only operation, with pastries and coffee during the day as a possible later addition. Forbes later reported the team was looking to spring 2026.
